Posted in From 70cc to 650cc on 04/20/2011 02:01 am by IbrahimMy next modification was to install this muffler on my exhaust system. Work still in progress…
This is slip-on Two Brothers Titanium muffler with custom made exhaust pipe welded to the original twobros stainless steel pipe.
The oxygen sensor is still use by custom made the hole using similar size nut. Maybe if I have time I will change to full stainless steel pipe. But for now the looks is good and sounds very good. For normal traveling the P1-x powertip is used to reduce the sound by 8 dB.
2k Metallic Green Paint
Posted in ER-6f and GIVI, From 70cc to 650cc on 02/19/2011 05:02 am by IbrahimSome part of the bike was left unpainted by the manufacturer. So it’s my job to finish it. The paint work cost about RM240. The color differ slightly from the original. But at least 98% same.
So this is the result.

ER-6f with GIVI Box
Posted in ER-6f and GIVI on 12/07/2010 03:33 am by IbrahimNow installing a box or luggage carrier is quite tricky if you’re concern about its position which is too far behind u. So I decided to cut and shortened the monorack for about 5 inch. This cut & weld process were done by Ah Hong at his workshop. Even a Japanese car can be cut and paste to avoid custom duty, this Givi bracket is just a piece of cake (kacang goreng je…). It cost just RM50. This make it looks better and feel better than the original monorack. Here I include photos which shows clearly the difference before and after the monorack was shortened.
The question here is how to open the seat? Easy. First unlock the seat. Pull up the back side a little, then push backward until the front latch/catch comes free. Then pull the front side up and forward. So instead of pulling the back side up straight way you have to pull it from the front side. This is due to the Givi monolock plate which is overlap by about 1.5 inch above the seat. After all you’re not going to open the seat often like the kapcai to fill the fuel.
Next is to install the stop light. This wiring was done at Givi Point Penang by Lan. But the LED light u have to buy separate from any car accessories shop. So you can custom made the light just like some of the scooter owner did to their bike.
So the Givi box E340 (34 liter) and monorack 449fz modification were complete.

From C70 to EX650
Posted in From 70cc to 650cc on 10/19/2010 05:48 am by IbrahimThis is the bike that suits me. I have a B full licence. It is affordable, low maintanence cost and fuel economy for long distance. Unlike my old Shogun, I want to change my image to a professional rider, (menunggang dengan berhemah, ingat yang tersayang, ingat 5 sebelum 5…). Yes I still like my Shogun and I want to keep it as my hobby but unfortunately for some reason i’ve to let go it. So I sold my special Shogun to a boy from Puchong at a better price compared to trade in to the shop.
Anyway 2 weeks of using ER-6f is a very wonderful experience. It gave me a new image and a new spirit. I’m very excited and my strength to work hard increased as my bike horsepower increase. The bike is really easy to use for everyday use to go to work, shop, mosque for Friday prayer and I even brought my 1.5 yr old baby girl Anis on this bike around the school compound. She like it. But her twin sister Amna was scared of the bike. That’s the purpose of the bike, a safe, reliable, economical, fast, practical and efficient transport for me but at the same time as my hobby.
To make the bike more practical I have to install a luggage carrier or Givi box behind. But I plan to modify the bracket to move it forward so it will be position on top of the pillion’s seat not exceeding the tail of the bike. So the bike will become like single seat. This will increase stability and load limit up to 20 kg. According to the owner’s manual total load of the bile must not exceed 180 kg and the luggage must not exceed the length of the bike.
I can’t remember much whats in my mind at that time. But sure I must want to have a bike. I was 5 years old. So now after 25 years my dream come true. The bike was a Honda Hawk 145cc. A very powerful bike at that time, speed can reach 150 km/h.
So Ust Ishak asked me to take him around on the bike. Do you want to feel the pickup? I asked. Ok he said. Then I pull the throttle hard from 2nd gear it reach 90km/h in a split seconds. Oh no he said my tears come out. Its very quick. So that’s his 1st experience. Ha ha ha.. the teachers at the canteen watched us…
Convert to monoschock
Posted in Kisah Suzuki Shogun 125 on 09/21/2010 08:45 am by IbrahimThis is the last and final modification that I did on this bike. I’m satisfied about the comfort ride it gives because I set it to soft, so it absorbs all the bumps and small holes on the road. But this setting is not suitable for racing.
Carburetor
Posted in Kisah Suzuki Shogun 125 on 04/24/2010 03:12 am by IbrahimDisini saya ingin menunjukkan cara untuk memasang carburetor Mikuni VM22 atau orang biasa panggil carburetor TS. Harganya dalan RM250 la sebab original made in Japan.
Lagipun motor ni bukan guna kat litar lumba, tapi nak pakai selalu dan nak dia tahan lama with low maintanence cost. Proses memasang air filter ni agak mudah, cuma luaskan sikit mulut nya yang asal. Lepastu potong kartrij kertas penapis asal, buang dan gantikan dengan stainless steel net, lekatkan guna super glue. Siap.
Model baru Suzuki
So sehari saya akan menunggang sejauh 110 km.
Tapi kalau dah tukar karburetor besar motor apa pun tak jimat petrol jugak. So saya pilih Suzuki.
